The Booster Course Pass in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was an absolute shock when it was first announced in early 2022. It seemed absurd at the time that Nintendo was breathing new life into a game that was already 8 years old at the time. The Booster Course pass has, since then, proved its worth tenfold. In this article we’ll be going over the top 5 tracks that came to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in the Booster Course Pass over the 8 waves.
*This is a follow up to yesterdays article where we went over the top 5 base courses, be sure to check it out!*
Wii Mushroom Gorge

Starting off our list is an absolute classic from Mario Kart Wii. This track is a fan favourite track and for good reason, the scenery is idyllic and it is an unmatched thrill bouncing from mushroom to mushroom in the cave section. We can’t forget the shortcut over the chasm on the last bend of the track leading to tight race finishes and last minute position changes!
Wii Moonview Highway

You cannot mention Mario Kart Wii tracks without talking about the neon city lights and the starry night sky of Moonview Highway. This cityscape is bustling with cars, trucks and bob-ombs driving through the streets. One of the top 5 in my Base Courses article was Toads Turnpike and this track feels like an evolution on every level.
GCN Daisy Cruiser

Our first and only of the gamecube tracks for our list today is Daisy Cruiser. A thrilling race around the interior and exterior of a massive cruise ship as it sails the open seas. The sliding tables of the main dining room and the addition of the underwater areas make this track as memorable as it is fun.
Ninja Hideaway

Ninja hideaway is our only new addition to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe from the Booster Course Pass that we have on our list and for good reason. The track is based off of a traditional japanese temple design wise, however, the obstacles all pay homage to traditional Ninja weaponry. With such a strong focus on Ninja Shy Guys, what is there not to like!
DS Waluigi Pinball

Our final track of the list is one I played for the first time back in Mario Kart 7 and it has been my favourite track of the series ever since. I love all of the flashing lights and the pinball iconography cannot be beaten. I love how the winding paths at the start of the track make you feel like a Pinball yourself and the glider section when you’re heading back up always fills you with the adrenaline to race straight back down again!
